Carolyn Barritt | Conveyancer
Carolyn is a conveyancer based in our Kingaroy office. Born and bred in Kingaroy, and having worked for 23 years in the legal industry, Carolyn has gained experience in a range of matters including Family Law, Conveyancing and Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney matters. When not at work, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her husband and chasing after her two sons and their overactive Jack Russell terriers. She also enjoys beach camping and road tripping with her family as much as she can.
Deanna-Lee Gill | Personal Assistant
Deanna-Lee is a Personal Assistant in our Kingaroy Office and assists our solicitor, Brittani Merton. Deanna-Lee joined the firm in 2021 after completing a Business Traineeship, and currently assists in a range of matters including Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Leasing, Commercial Law, Conveyancing, Debt Recovery, Advice, and more. Deanna-Lee is enthusiastic about her career in Law and is passionate about ensuring our clients are provided the best legal service. In her spare time, Deanna-Lee loves walking her dog and spending time with her family and friends.
Laura McGreevy | Personal Assistant
Laura is the personal assistant to Brodie Farley and is based in our Brisbane office. She is known for welcoming our clients with her ready smile and friendly, bubbly personality. Laura has over 10 years’ experience in the legal industry, working in various Brisbane law firms before joining KF Solicitors at Kingaroy in early 2017. She then transferred to our Brisbane office in 2019. Laura has worked across many areas of law including family law, wills, estate administration, family provision claims, personal injury, criminal, domestic violence, litigation, commercial, planning and environment, conveyancing and leasing. She took a break from the legal industry in 2012 to drive trucks in the mines in Central Queensland but ultimately decided to return to South East Queensland and her role in the legal industry. Laura is also a qualified Justice of the Peace. Laura studied music at QUT before becoming a law clerk and still enjoys songwriting and performing in her spare time. Laura released her first single ‘Lioness’ in 2018 under her artist name Laudy, which reached number 14 on the Triple J Unearthed charts and received air-time on local stations such as 4ZZZ in Brisbane and Crow FM in the South Burnett. She also enjoys attending live music events, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Mandy Drummond | Office Manager – Virginia
Mandy is the Office Manager of our Brisbane office. With over 24 years’ experience in the legal industry, 16 of which have been with KF Solicitors, Mandy has gained experience in many areas of law. Her legal career began in a boutique suburban firm and culminated in a busy role at one of the largest international firms in Brisbane, before a tree change to Kingaroy, where she joined KF Solicitors. Mandy has enjoyed a career spanning the areas of Family Law, Estate Administration and Testator Family Maintenance claims, Commercial Litigation including Defamation, Corporate Law including Bankruptcy, Defendant Insurance Litigation, Personal Injuries and Criminal Compensation Claims, Employment Law, Domestic Violence, Criminal Law, Conveyancing and Debt Recovery. Mandy is also a qualified Commissioner for Declarations and has varied responsibilities within the firm aside from managing our Brisbane office. Some of these include general marketing, website maintenance, staff training, overseeing large projects (such as our recent software transition to Smokeball) and temporarily covering roles when staff are on leave. In her spare time, Mandy enjoys relaxing with a good book and camping with her husband and two daughters.
Nikki Bird | Legal Secretary
Nikki is our remote Legal Secretary, based at the Sunshine Coast. She joined our firm in 2021 and was the personal assistant to our Director, Andrew Kelly, in the Kingaroy office before moving to Little Mountain at the beginning of 2023. Before working for KF Solicitors, Nikki worked as a personal assistant for another Kingaroy law firm before the Solicitors of the firm retired and the practice was closed. Nikki has gained experience in a range of legal matters, with her favourite area being Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney. When she’s not at work, Nikki doesn’t have much spare time, as she is busy running around after her 4 children, but when the chance does arise you will find her, her husband and children at the dam boating, tubing and camping.
Ruth Francis | Office Manager – Kingaroy
Ruth is our organised, efficient practice manager and receptionist in the Kingaroy office. Ruth’s previous work history includes nursing, working with her husband running a Stock & Station Agency for five years in South Australia and working in a South Australian law firm with responsibility for reception duties, bookkeeping and clerking. Ruth completed a four year Bachelor of Health Science degree in Naturopathy and whilst studying worked in a local hospital in reception and later as a ward clerk. She then joined her husband in the Kimberley’s in Western Australia and worked as a salesperson with Nina’s Jewellery, a Kimberley diamond store, while also running her own naturopathy business. Ruth relocated to Kingaroy in October 2015 and spent twelve months as a casual teacher’s assistant in the remedial classes at Nanango State High School, before joining us at KF Solicitors. In her spare time Ruth loves reading fiction and biographies, gardening and when time and space permits, some sewing. Ruth and her husband also enjoy bush walking.
Sabina Wolski | Personal Assistant
Sabina is the Estates Paralegal in the Crime and Estates team, based in our Kingaroy office. Sabina joined the firm in 2020 and works on a broad range of matters with a focus on Estate and Criminal Law. Sabina has over 15 years of experience working in the legal industry and is a qualified Commissioner for Declarations. Sabina is also a qualified Dance Teacher and when she is not at work you will find her teaching night classes at one of the local Dance Academies, attending to family life and travelling.
